Kathy’s extensive background in dance started at age six with Ballet. She studied jazz with Joe Tremaine, Paul De Rolf, Roland Dupree, Jerry Grimes, and Joe Bennett. Eugene Loring’s American School of Dance in Hollywood included, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Flamenco and tap.
Professionally, Kathy has toured with Ringling Brothers Circus as a dancer and aerialist, and danced in the award winning shows Vive Paris Vive, and Lido De Paris in Las Vegas. She performed in Follies Bergere in Concert in Manila, Disco Fever in Palm Springs and Japan. Her film credits include Pennies from Heaven, and Weekend Pass. She has choreographed Vista Del Mar Orphanage Charity concert , Rabboni the musical, and created a line dance for Becca, an up coming country western singer.
Kathy’s zeal for dancing has led to teaching for over 23 years at Santa Monica College Community Education, 13 years at Los Angeles Mission College Community Extension, Valley College, Pierce College, and West Los Angeles College. She teaches for community organizations, corporate events, and theme parties. Kathy’s home studio in Valley Glen is a friendly, enjoyable location for private and small group instruction.
