If you want to dazzle your family and friends as you glide across the floor with confidence for your first dance, then there a few steps to consider.

1. Leave enough time before your wedding date, approximately 2 to 3 months or more if possible , to take lessons, and practice in between those lessons. The more you go over and over your steps and choreography, the easier the process will be.

2. If you have a song picked out before lessons begin, that is fine. Whatever style of dance fits to that song will be your dance. If you do not have a song, that is OK too. We can then see what dance style suits you best, and then pick a song you like that fits that rhythm. Also, client’s have combined different dances within the same song if it is adaptable.

3. Client’s have asked me how long it will take to learn. It depends on a few factors. How well do you hear music, the rhythm of the song? Are you cooridinated? How much will you practice? All of these contribute to the process of learning quicker or slower. The good news is no matter which it is, either way you can feel much better and confident about your dancing.

4. Your dance can be totally or partially choreographed. Some students prefer to have the whole dance in a sequence, and others want to wing it with the steps they learned. Also, it is easy to have a definite beginning and ending. I will arrange the dance to suit your taste and personalities.

5. Lessons can be for the bride and groom , family members, and those in the wedding party.
